Cottage of Dreams can provide a programme to aid you on your journey to stop smoking. You'll receive two sessions combining hypnotherapy and coaching.
Hypnotherapy is a technique that helps individuals stop smoking by addressing the subconscious mind, reducing cravings, changing thought patterns, stress, and boosting confidence. It helps individuals associate smoking with negative sensations or feelings of control and empowerment. Hypnotherapy can also help manage stress by teaching relaxation techniques and reducing smoking as a coping mechanism. It can also help identify triggers that lead to smoking and develop healthier strategies.
Both sessions are available for £120 and we'll follow up to see how you're getting on and discuss your progress. Below you'll find further information on the course along with a number of common questions that we've answered.
Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic technique that employs hypnosis, a trance-like state of heightened focus and concentration, to help individuals address various psychological and physical issues.
One of the notable applications of hypnotherapy is in smoking cessation. This approach leverages the power of suggestion and the individual's subconscious mind to alter their smoking habits and behaviours.
When used to help someone stop smoking, hypnotherapy typically involves guiding you into a deeply relaxed state where you are more open to positive suggestions. During this state, a hypnotherapist may suggest new ways of thinking about smoking, such as associating it with unpleasant sensations or reinforcing the benefits of quitting, like improved health and increased energy. The goal is to shift your mindset, reducing cravings and altering your perception of smoking from a pleasurable activity to an undesirable one.
The effectiveness of hypnotherapy for smoking cessation can vary from person to person. Some studies and evidence suggest that hypnotherapy can be a powerful tool in helping some individuals quit smoking. Its strength lies in its ability to address the psychological aspects of addiction, which are often a significant barrier to quitting.
Most people stop with just one session but very occasionally, someone may need more sessions.
Sandra from Cottage of Dreams has an excellent success rate. She asks everyone to contact her after the session to let her know how they are getting on and to keep a record of progress.
Sandra Roberts, and she is a registered mental health practitioner with over 25 years of experience within the NHS, so you're in good hands. Sandra is also a life coach and registered hypnotherapist.
With patches etc the nicotine is still getting into your system. Smoking is a psychological addiction which is why hypnosis is so successful with this problem. In experiments, hypnotherapy has proven more successful than drugs, nicotine, chewing gum or patches. Plus, there are no harmful side effects.
You should not have any cravings. The aim of hypnotherapy is to make you feel good about being a non-smoker. We should remember that the thought and craving of a cigarette are entirely different. During hypnosis, you will be given suggestions that enable you to make that distinction and replace any negative thoughts with positive ones.
Did you go back to them? There could be several reasons why it didn't work for you. Perhaps you were nervous or didn't know what to expect. Or maybe the timing wasn't right, and you really weren't ready to stop at that time. This is why Sandra asks her clients to contact her after the sessions have finished.
You will feel perfectly normal. The only difference that hypnosis will make is a) you will feel more relaxed than usual and b) you will feel good about being a non-smoker.
1-2-1 sessions can be held remotely or face-to-face - however you feel the sessions would work best for you. Should you want to take part face-to-face then we are located at the following address:
